The Young Academy of Scotland will be represented by Chris O’Sullivan and Ineke De Moortel at a meeting to discuss ‘Shaping the Future of Young Academies’, hosted by the Dutch Jonge Akademie, in Amsterdam on October 31 to November 1, 2012.

The May 2012 meeting was the first since the elections of the co-chairs and treasurer. The YAS heard presentations from the co-chairs on progress with the organisation of the YAS; and presentations from the working groups outlining their plans for the coming months.

A meeting of the YAS took place at the RSE on 29 February 2012. Professor Martin Wilmking, chair of the German Die Jünge Akademie, was the guest speaker, accompanied by Dr Ruth Bendels, Head of Office of Die Jünge Akademie.
