Many YAS activities are conducted by Working Groups which set their own agenda of activities and work toward responding to some of the most interesting and pressing challenges facing Scotland today. Some activities are carried out by temporary "special project" groups, which may apply for YAS Grants, or seek external funding.  Other projects and events are carried out in conjunction with partner organisations.
