Working Group Remit

Our interests are in:
- Innovation and KT
- Entrepreneurship
- Development of appropriate skills within the workforce including CPD
- Healthy work/life balance
- Influence of industry on school education
- Policy



Connecting Scotland’s Entrepreneurial Network, 2 October 2014 - The event brought together the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) Fellows, RSE Enterprise Fellows, Members of the RSE Young Academy of Scotland, Saltire Fellows, entrepreneurs, investors and organisations that support commercialization in Scotland. We have successfully held several events including a double-badged event with STARTEdin and the Health and Wellbeing working group; see a report of the event here.

In March, 2017, the Industry WG co-organised and led an event with EthosBIO; Life Science for Good, which explored the relationship between life sciences and start-ups, including a pitching competition for start-up companies.


The lead for this working group is Lysimachos Zografos.

Our Members

Dr Miao is currently a Lecturer in Urban Planning and Development, in the Department of Urban Studies of Glasgow University. Previously she worked as a Post-Doc in the Geography Department of St Andrews University after she was awarded her PhD in Economic Geography and Planning by University College London.
