The RSE Business Innovation Forum have called for Scotland’s universities to encourage Scotland’s young people in pursuing innovation and entrepreneurship in a report published today.
The Forum was led by YAS member Dr Olga Kozlova and included contributions from others including Dr Elizabeth Fairley, another Young Academy member. The report claims Scotland is faced with a great opportunity to become ‘a world-leading entrepreneurial nation,’ and made a number of recommendations for delivery of entrepreneurial education.
Dr. Kozlova said, “The Scottish Government’s ambitious vision for the nation’s entrepreneurial future is welcome, but concerted effort will be needed if we are to see progress in the rates of business creation and research commercialisation across the country. A coordinated approach which taps into the great potential held by Scotland’s universities will ensure that we gain maximum impact.”
