At the end of their 5 year term, YAS members have the opportunity to become 'Emeritus' members, these members are still involved in YAS activities and receive additional benefits not available to YAS alumni such as invitations to annual dinners, events and AGMs, mentoring and access to funding opportunities. Dr Megan Coyer is a Lecturer in English Literature and Deputy Director of the Medical Humanities Research Centre at the University of Glasgow, where she convenes the Intercalated BSc in Medical Humanities. She specialises in nineteenth-century literature and medical culture, with a particular interest in the Scottish context.
