Siobhán is a Lecturer in the School of Health in Social Science at the University of Edinburgh, UK. She has a multidisciplinary background with a BSc Business Information Systems and BSc Nursing so her research focuses on how patients, carers and health professionals such as nurses can use a range of technologies to manage long-term chronic conditions. Siobhán also has a keen interest in leveraging technology to enhance higher education and engage students in learning through social media and other online platforms and digital tools such as mobile apps. She is an active STEM Ambassador promoting science and technology careers to young women and girls, and is a member of Young Forum Gastein and the American Medical Informatics Association.”

Dr Paul A Hoskisson is a senior lecturer in Microbiology at the University of Strathclyde. Paul obtained his PhD from Liverpool John Moores University in 2002, followed by post-doctoral positions at the John Innes Centre and the University of Aberdeen. He established his own research group at the University of Strathclyde in 2007.
