Mark Symes

Mark is a lecturer in chemistry at the University of Glasgow, specialising in finding sustainable ways to produce fuels and remove pollutants from the environment. As part of his research, Mark co-invented a new type of water electrolyser, which is being spun out from the University of Glasgow. Mark is the secretary of the Glasgow and West of Scotland section of the Royal Society of Chemistry and he is committed to public outreach, having given numerous question-and-answer sessions related to climate change and energy usage in recent years.

Victoria Loughlan
She designs and delivers interactive and visual ‘big picture thinking’ sessions for senior officials. These sessions focus on addressing key policy challenges, teasing out their interdependencies, and situating them in their global context.
