Louise is a Senior Lecturer in Geography and Sustainable Development at the University of St Andrews. Louise is a Human Geographer by training and her main research surrounds home and its relations with sustainability and wellbeing/health, often in relation to ‘smart’ technologies. She is primarily interested in the experience of home but also how homes are imagined by a diverse range of people, and what this means for the future of home.
Currently Head of the First Year Sustainable Development BSc/MA Degree Programme, Louise is also member of the University’s Environmental Sustainability Board (and co-chair of the Operational Adaptation Working Group), Vice Chair of the Board of Hanover Housing Association, and Editorial Board member of Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers.
