Kiterie is an MRC Clinician Scientist Fellow and a Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Edinburgh. She trained in veterinary medicine in France (Toulouse and Alfort (Paris)) before moving to the UK, where she did a PhD (Oxford) and veterinary neurology specialty training (Glasgow).
Her career spans across animal and human health fully embracing the One Health concept. Her main research interest focuses on understanding the cellular changes occurring in motor neuron diseases, a group of incurable neurodegenerative diseases, leading to paralysis.
