Karin is an expert in health policy and systems research with over 10 years of experience in Africa and the Middle East. Specializing in complex policy design, implementation, and evaluation using participatory, complexity science, and systems thinking methods, she is currently the research lead at the Institute for Global Health and Development. Karin’s work focuses on health systems resilience through the Rebuild for Resilience Consortium and refugee health with UNHCR. Additionally, she conducts complexity-informed evidence reviews on climate-resilient health systems and novel interventions for depression, anxiety and psychosis.
