Jo Buckley


Jo Buckley is Chief Executive of IMPACT Scotland, the charity overseeing the creation of the Dunard Centre, Edinburgh’s first concert hall for more than a century. From 2019 to 2023 she was Chief Executive of the Dunedin Consort, before which she worked for Britten Sinfonia, Northern Sinfonia, Live Music Now and Delphian Records. Jo is a Governor of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and a Trustee of the Royal Philharmonic Society.

Jo graduated from Cambridge University with a First Class degree in 2004, and went on to gain a PhD in Musicology from Durham University, focusing on the role of the slow movement in Beethoven’s music. She is also a freelance writer, specialising in programme notes for concerts and recordings, with a range of clients that include the BBC Proms, London Symphony Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
