Bio

James Blake is Director of the Centre of Media and Culture at Edinburgh Napier University where he is also the Programme Leader for BA Television and a Senior Lecturer in TV production and broadcast journalism.

Before this James worked at ITN for more than 10 years; first as a producer on the ITV News at Ten, then as a specialist producer and reporter at Channel 4 News.  He continues to work as a freelance reporter and producer at Channel 4 News and STV. Research interests include evolving digital technologies, bias and balance in broadcast, and arts and culture.

Our Members

Emma Carroll’s overarching research theme is the use and development of statistical models to integrate genetic/genomic, life history and behavioural data to investigate natural populations. Emma has multi-disciplinary research expertise in the fields of molecular ecology, stable isotope analysis and population modelling, and experience in developing and implementing models that bridge these fields.
