Originally from Ukraine, Dr Ievgeniia Ivanova has been a visiting researcher at the University of Stirling since November 2023, and she has also been an honorary fellow at the University of Aberdeen since July 2022. Before that, she worked as an Associate Professor at the Department of Philosophy at the National University Odesa Maritime Academy; from 2017-2018, she was a Visiting Lecturer at the Odesa National Medical University, and from 2012 to 2018, she worked at the Department of Philosophy and Methodology of Science at the Odesa National Polytechnic University. She believes academic research should not be buried in scientific journals but should reach the common public. That is why she popularises science and philosophy and has many popular science publications in different media, including the UK online magazine The Conversation. Also, she is an Editor-in-Chief of an online magazine about culture, urban study, and contemporary art, Prostranstvo Media, and a member of the International movement of science fans Share Your Knowledge [15х4].
