Dr Gozde Ozakinci is a chartered health psychologist working on understanding the determinants of health behaviours and risk perception, exploring the use of community-based approaches to health promotion and social prescribing, and creating and assessing emotional self-management programmes for cancer survivors. She has a BA in Psychology from Bogazici University (Turkey), MSc in Health Psychology from University College London, PhD in Social/Health Psychology from Rutgers-The State University of New Jersey (USA) and postgrad diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy from University of Dundee. She teaches in medical courses on behavioural sciences and communication skills as well as postgraduate health psychology course.

She designs and delivers interactive and visual ‘big picture thinking’ sessions for senior officials. These sessions focus on addressing key policy challenges, teasing out their interdependencies, and situating them in their global context.
