Brianna E. Robertson-Kirkland is Associate Head of BMus at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Her most recent publications include: Venanzio Rauzzini and the Birth of a New Style in English Singing Scandalous Lessons (Routledge, 2022); Allan Ramsay’s The Tea Table Miscellany, co-edited with Professor Murray Pittock (Edinburgh University Press, 2023); Credulity in the Age of Reason (Honoré Champion, 2024); and Women and Transnational Cultural Exchange: 1550–1850, edited with Dr Louise Duckling (Bloomsbury Academic, 2026).
She is Principal Investigator of Scotland’s Singing for Health Network and is on the board for the University of St Andrews Centre for Medical Humanities. Previously, she was Research Associate for the AHRC-funded project ‘The Collected Works of Allan Ramsay’ at the University of Glasgow. Her research focuses on vocal and training practices (both in modern times and historically) with a particular focus on health and gender.
