Andrew Manches

Last name

I have over 15 years working with young children: as a teacher, academic, start-up director, and, more recently, parent. My research examines the role of interaction in cognition, and the implications for early learning and new forms of technology. I am also interested in computing education for children in the early years. In 2013, I moved from London to the University of Edinburgh, having been awarded a Future Research Leader grant by the ESRC and subsequently a Chancellor’s Fellowship.  Aside, I run an early learning and technology company (with a product in schools), and has recently created another business within the university.
