His current activity involves widening access to the creative industries by engaging disadvantaged young people in game development practices.
He was Programme Lead of the BA (Hons) Game Design and Production programme (2021-2024). His teaching practice covers undergraduate and postgraduate levels involving applied game design, quality assurance, and user research within games. He is an advocate for engaging students in applied game projects and has supported award-winning collaborations with organisations such as Children’s Hospices Across Scotland, Tayside Dynamos, and BRAG Enterprises.
He holds an undergraduate degree in Game Design and Production Management, a PhD in applied game design, and is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
