Amani A. Ahmed is a CARA Fellow and PhD candidate at the University of Edinburgh Business School. Her research explores entrepreneurial ecosystems, women’s digital entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, and sociomateriality in conflict-affected settings. She is also Head of the International Relations Department at the Islamic University of Gaza, where she leads international partnerships and higher education collaborations.
Amani has extensive experience managing internationally funded research and capacity-building projects across Europe and the Middle East. Her research has received international recognition, including the 2026 Diana International Research Conference Best Paper Award and the Gender, Work and Organization Conference Best Paper Presentation Award.
