Dr Amanda Holmes is a doctor with a particular interest in rural, remote and island healthcare delivery. She is passionate about collaboration and over the years has developed a comprehensive network of colleagues across rural Scotland. Amanda would love the opportunity to develop wider networks outside of the healthcare sector to facilitate a more wide-reaching and holistic conversation about our most pressing healthcare challenges. Amanda believes that connection and creativity are key to maintaining health and would love to work alongside those from creative disciplines to reimagine the concept of health, and to reconsider what is essential for people to live well.
Amanda has volunteered with a charity supporting asylum seekers, and would like to use her position to explore and amplify voices from this under-represented community.
Amanda also loves being outside, walking her dog, travelling, eating, drinking and being around people and music. She recently started learning to sail.
