On Tuesday 5th February, the RSE Young Academy of Scotland will host a training day specifically for ARAR members and the wider refugee academic community. The focus of the training day is simple: to help attendees secure an academic a job in the UK. The programme includes sessions on: what makes a successful research award application; the HE policy landscape (REF, funding); drafting applications; academic interviews (with mocks); and development planning.

Date/Time: Tuesday 5th February, 10am-4.30pm

Location: RSE, 22-26 George St, Edinburgh, EH2 2PQ, UK

Cost: Free. Lunch and refreshments are provided.

Additional support: the Young Academy of Scotland can offer travel costs for two non-ARAR members from within the UK without access to institutional or other funding. Expressions of interest with anticipated costs should be submitted to kewalker1@sheffield.ac.uk by Sunday 27 Jan.
